Today I attended my first outdoor craft market at the Bells Corners Farmers Market! Despite its small size (and the very smokey air outside) it was a great opportunity to experiment with my set-up and inventory.
Stuffies By Steph booth set-up.
In the days prior to this market:
I finished some stuffed animals
Put in an order for art prints (of which only the photography was completed in time)
Baked and assembled polymer clay earrings
Packaged photography prints
Experimented with the layout
Painted the sign in the middle of the table
It was a pretty busy week leading up to this market!
That sign started its life as a cake board, but with layers upon layers of acrylic paint and much patience, it became the sign you see today. I personally think this sign really brings together the whole set up, giving it a unique touch.

All that hard work leading up to the market paid off, allowing for a fairly successful first market in Ottawa!
With all that I have learned from this market, I am excited for my upcoming (indoor) market! Come check out my next market on July 8th at the Glebe Community Centre. I will have all products pictured in the photo above and more! (This includes: posters, art prints, photography, polymer clay earrings, and various stuffies).
